The annual Christmas draw is the Worthing & Sussex Branch main fundraising event of the year where we all members get together for a fun packed Christmas party, we pull crackers, fire party poppers, exchange Christmas cards and put on silly hats. It was very windy day in Worthing but 56 lucky people came along to support the event and with 30 super prizes to draw, Compère Bob and his team of helpers got straight down to work. The prizes included bottles of wine, a super Christmas cake, chocolates and this years first prize was JVC 32” smart LCD TV and despite the continuing financial problems the draw took an incredible £1950, an absolutely super result and it’s big big big thanks to all those who gave prizes and sold tickets.  Well done one and all.

There then followed a lovely Christmas tea, lots of festive party food, seasonal cakes and the distribution of Christmas presents for all those members attending. Another very jolly afternoon indeed and we wish you all a very Happy Christmas and a very prosperous new year.

A big thank you to Barbara Stephens for organising the event, the food, the table decorations and to her merry band of willing helpers and to Karen Ziaie for buying and wrapping up all the Christmas presents, and to all who donated gifts for the grand draw.
