Christmas Draw   5th Dec 2009

The Christmas draw is one of the Worthing Branch’s premier events of the year where we have our Christmas tea, pull crackers, fire party poppers at each other, exchange cards and put on silly hats.   But before that the Grand draw takes place and we are all eager to hear if we have won one of the super prizes on view. Despite the credit crunch a new record was reached, an incredible £2106  - an absolutely fantastic total and it’s big big thanks to all those who gave us some beautiful prizes and sold all those tickets.   Well done.

Despite the weather, over 70 people braved the harsh winter storms that we have become accustomed to lately,  to support this event and with 30 super prizes to draw Bob got straight down to work.  The prizes included hampers, bottles of wine, a sat nav and a flat screen LCD TV -  so lots of goodies on offer.    Then followed tea and cakes, (except me as I am on a diet) followed by  the distribution of Christmas presents for all those members attending. Another happy and joyful event and we wish you all a very Happy Christmas and new year.
