12th March 2008

Amazingly just a few months after I reported about the wood that appeared on Worthing seafront following the sinking of the Ice Princess off Portland Bill, Worthing council have done all they can (not) to restore the beach to its original condition.
Well as you can imagine vandals took care of one pile of wood, setting it ablaze, and at the height of the storms in early March, the sea had its say again, and took another pile back into the sea, and promptly scattered it all along the coast again at the next high tide, see pictures below.
Perhaps now the council will get on with the removal, before it happens yet again.
