Merton House
Below are a few of the pictures I have been sent of Merton House and the beautiful grounds. Merton house was built on sandstone cliffs overlooking the river Wye as it flows towards chepsrow and into the river severn.
We stayed at the hotel on a half board basis, and I think all would compliment the catering staff for their choice quality variety of food on offer, and for the price paid, superb value. I found the hotel to be ideal for our group, enough room for us all to sit a chat during the evenings, a well stocked cheap bar, and of course being so central located meant it was easy to get from the hotel and into town. Mind you I would never move to Ross, lovely as it was, just too many hills for me, and not nearly enough pavement drops, although that is being worked on by a dedicated local group who are trying to make life for wheelchair uses a bit easier, good luck to them.
Whilst there, Peter and Cora  celebrated their 2nd anniversary and Janet and Roger celebrated their 40th Wedding anniversary so all our  congratulations to them.
A good week indeed and I think we would all like to return next year, please.
