Regional Dinner Leatherhead

The regional Dinner was held at Leatherhead again this year, and we were please to see members from Northwest Kent, Berkshire, Sutton and Southampton, including our special guests Pam Jones the new National Chairman and Aidan Linton-Smith, the national treasurer

The dinner was quite well supported, although not as many as last year. The Worthing branch took a few fund raising stalls with included Barbara’s cards and crafts, all hand made by members of the Worthing branch, one of Robin’s 0 and 5 tombola, and of course a super raffle.

The meal was a pate starter then Roast Lambs with all the trimmings and again during the meal we all had a chance at the competition set by Barbara, and this time it was won by Martin Tidy with a credible 19 points, we came joint second with 18 points. The sweet was a very sickly Lemon cheesecake that I really couldn’t finish, followed by a nice cup of coffee.

The speeches came from the top table, and our new chairman Pam Jones had a few words to say, and presented Norma Broszek with the national award for the helper of the year.
