The Annual Polio BBQ August 3rd 2008

BBQ time again, this year the theme for the event was, fun laughter and merriment, well we had to, the whether was slightly on the wet side although we all managed to shrug that aside, and get on with a jolly good BBQ, only one coupled cancelled  because of the rain, which was a pity, because it never got harder than a light drizzle so that wasn't going to dampen any true BBQer, and with 70 plus people turning up, we had to be organised.
Barbara had been working for weeks to get all the bits and pieces together in time, and all the helpers had to do was to join the dots, and make it happen.
Below are a few pictures of the event.

Above Farhun and Bob are flippin' the burgers BBQ one, while Shahab and Karen are busy burning the bangers on BBQ two.

Carole was arranging the food onto the plates and Sophie handed them round to eager and starving guests.

Pam did a great job buttering the rolls,  while the two Karens mixed up the sweet corn, Karen S was in charge of the preparation and cooking of the vegetarian food, so that kept her busy.

Brenda and June were in the dry at the bar, where coffee tea and soft drinks were being handed out by the gallon.

Happy guest wait in anticipation of how burnt the food would be this year.
