This was in the Daily Mail on Oct 14th 2010, I so want one.

  :-------------------------------------------------------------:

Karen and I popped into Belgium in 2007, on our way home from my cousins wedding in Geneva, and we stopped at a service station that showed that it had disabled facilities. We parked in the disabled bay, got my mobility scooter out as it was some way from the car park to the building, only problem, they didn't have any pavement drops at all, not one, and the kerbs were all of 6 inches high, so I couldn't even get into the building, let alone use the loo's.
Later that day we stayed at a riverside hotel for one night again in Belgium, and although the hotel was new, there still wasn't access to the tow path for wheelchair users, despite there being more than enough room for a slope.

Well done Brussels, a couple of classic cases of do as I say, not as I do....

I should add that the facilities in France and Switzerland were fine.
