The Dyke Railway Trail.
This walk follows the old railway line from
Hangleton to Devils dyke and is paved all
the way.
Starting from a small free car park next to
“Wok 4 U” a Chinese takeaway in Hangleton
way, BN3 8EY the walk heads north over the
busy A27 via a foot bridge (all smooth, no
steps) along a gentle incline. Passing Hove
golf course to the left the path continues
for a mile or so towards what was once the
old railway way station by devils dyke golf
club.
This is a good place to have a picnic and
then head back down the gentle slope towards
Hangleton. The walk is about three miles in
total, and walkers should be aware that this
is a very popular doggy route and there is
plenty of dog mess around, other than that,
it’s a very pleasant wheelchair friendly
walk.
